Cameron Sharpe Bio

Since most of Jay's albums have had quick turnarounds, fans were expecting Blueprint 3 to be released much sooner. However, Jay has explained in interviews that he was taking his time and actually didn't like not having a deadline to meet. The MC recently parted ways with his longtime label, Def Jam, clearing the way for him to release Blueprint 3 via a different company. Last week reports emerged that Jay was in the process of negotiating deals with both Sony Music and the Warner Music Group. MTV News has confirmed that Blueprint 3 will be coming out via Roc Nation. WMG/ Atlantic will be handling the distribution, marketing and promotion.

Neither Jay nor his rep has released a statement. Jay — who gave a surprise performance in Los Angeles with Eminem on Monday — kicks off his tour with Ciara in Las Vegas on July 3.

Miley Cyrus, riding high on the success of her "Hannah Montana" film and soundtrack, has announced plans for a 45-date North American tour this fall. The tour, which features Metro Station as opening act, kicks off September 14 in Portland, Oregon and wraps up in Miami on December 2.

The tour is the teen star's first since the highly successful "Best of Both Worlds" trek in 2007-2008. That outing grossed $55,245,879 and sold 994,665 tickets to 70 shows reported to Billboard Boxscore. Cyrus was named Breakthrough Artist at the 2008 Billboard Touring Awards. The tour was also notable for drawing attention to issues in the ticketing business,
as Cyrus’ concerts sold out immediately and tickets were quickly available on secondary ticketing sites, drawing the ire of parents and the scrutiny of public officials as to the number of tickets available to the general public and how the tickets end up on the resale market.

Cameron B Sharpe News:
Kanye West is back in the lab, and there's only word to describe his new rhymes: "awes-mazing" (we're guessing that's a cross between awesome and amazing?).

"I kill that rap sh--, that's what I do," he said of his upcoming opus. "Lyrics right now, they're awes-mazing. They're basically untouchable. I'm about to take it to a whole 'nother level. I'd be scared if I was not me."

Eminem asked the crowd at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night if they missed him, and clearly they did, because his comeback album, Relapse, will top the Billboard album charts for a second week in a row next week, thanks to 211,000 more units moved. After debuting at #1, Slim Shady held onto the top spot despite a 65 percent drop in sales and is on pace to cross 1 million copies within the next two weeks, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan.

Way in the distance at #2 are Green Day, whose 21st Century Breakdown held onto that spot with 76,000 in sales after a 54 percent drop-off in business, putting the veteran Bay Area punk trio on pace for sales of 500,000 by next week.

Osbourne has also reached out to Iommi in a public statement released by his publicist, which reads:

"Since 1997 when Geezer, Bill (Ward, the group's original drummer) and myself rejoined the band, Black Sabbath has returned to its former glory as we headlined sold-out arenas and amphitheatres playing to upwards of 50,000 people at each show around the world. We worked collectively to restore credibility and bring dignity back to the name 'Black Sabbath,' which lead to the band being inducted into the UK and US Rock & Roll Hall of Fames in 2005 and 2006, respectively...Tony, I am so sorry it's had to get to this point by me having to take this action against you. I don't have the right to speak for Geezer and Bill, but I feel that morally and ethically the trademark should be owned by the four of us equally. I hope that by me taking this first step that it will ultimately end up that way. We've all worked too hard and long in our careers to allow you to sell merchandise that features all our faces, old Black Sabbath album covers and band logos, and then you tell us that you own the copyright. We're all in our 60s now. The Black Sabbath legacy should live on long after we have all gone. Please do the right thing."

As for pressure to follow up "Riot's" success, Farro says that "there's always gonna be pressure. We tried to push that aside and just make a record we loved. The fans might not like it, and they might think it's too different and whatnot, but at the end of the day we love it and that's the best we can do."

The drummer expects Paramore to do "some heavy touring, like we always do" once the new album is released. But don't expect to see the group, whose "Decode" was a hit from last year's "Twilight" soundtrack, to be haunting subsequent editions of the series.

"We don't want to be, like, the vampire house band," he explains. "It was really fun to be a part of that, and great exposure, but I think 'Twilight' was it for us. We don't want to seem like we're trying to get in every single movie they put out."
